The $7,500 Schoolgirl Sex Slaves
A group of men who bought several girls for roughly ¥750,000 each, and then forcibly rented them out as prostitutes, has been arrested under anti-slavery legislation.
The slavers, a 58-year-old salaryman, a 56-year-old manager of an eating establishment, and one other unidentified man, apparently bought several girls from a supplier in Macao, China, telling the girls they were to be workers in their karaoke snack bar, situated in Chiba.
However, the two girls they bought, at that time 17 and 18, had been tricked and were instead forced to work as prostitutes.
After their purchase in August, it seems it took several months for the matter to come to the attention of authorities, for the arrests took place in December.

The unfortunate girls at least got off lightly in being sent to Japan – it could have been much worse under the circumstances. Very much worse indeed.

Lolicon Teacher Schoolgirl Vacuum Cleaner Communication
An elementary school teacher who groped and fondled no less than seven of his female pupils, at one point enlisting the aid of a vacuum cleaner, may face punishment, though for the time being he still works at the school. “I was trying to communicate with them” he explains.
The teacher (51) touched the chests and nether regions of at least seven of his female pupils through their clothes, explaining his actions by saying it was an attempt to “communicate” with them, from September 2006 to May of this year.
He variously undertook his communication efforts in break and during the craft lessons he oversaw.
On at least one occasion it seems he needed to use a vacuum cleaner to further his efforts, utilising it to lift the skirt of one girl he was particularly concerned to communicate with.
His victims complained to the school, and the principal and vice-principal repeatedly asked him to stop his perverted acts, but he ignored them. They apparently did not see fit to pursue the matter further.
The Board of Education responsible is “planning disciplinary measures” it assures us, though as yet has not seen fit to act.
He still works at the school, though from June he has no longer been taking classes.

Sanya drives sales of the third Strike Witches DVD, and it seems wretched Kannagi virgin hunters are insignificant in impact after all, or at least bought a DVD for some other reason…
Incidentally, the lowest ranking anime (which we would be interested in) to feature in the chart is Vampire Kishi 5, with something like 2,500 DVDs sold in the week.
Another point is that big titles like Code Geass might normally have a clear lead, but are conveniently not released in this period, so we are able to savour a 2nd place Kannagi.

Queen’s Blade Hentai Raep Busty Ero-Busts
The usual Queen’s Blade speciality of enormous oppai gaily almost breaking free of clothing, whilst the owner is subjected to humiliating combat stripping, is explored in this set of figures, in “bust” format, covering three of the bustier characters.

“Haven’t you got a little bigger?” – Clannad Nude Filter
In something of a change, this nude filter not only features Kyou Fujibayashi and Kotomi Ichinose of Clannad doing a spot of friendly comparison, but also features a doujin work rather than the usual target of official art.
I have to say, much of the Clannad fan art is vastly more appealing than the originals in certain respects.

Mirror’s Edge Moefication
Parkour ‘em up game Mirror’s Edge seems to have attracted more attention with its character designs than with any other aspect of the game, specifically where the notoriously ugly (to 2channers at least) protagonist Faith is concerned.
Naturally, 2channers soon set about improving matters, and now it seems the moefied version has attracted more attention than the nondescript original, overseas as well as in Japan.

There are some interesting comments to the effect that she looks Chinese (she would be ugly either way, I’d wager) rather than “Asian” (let us not forget this is a lazy term, and there is as much variance between the appearance of East Asian races as there is between European “whites” or African “blacks”, that is to say, a lot). Some go so far as to say the moefication is actually Japanification…
The game producer responsible, Tom Farrer, is on record as saying:
“I remember when I first had that image sent to me. To be honest, I found it kind of sad. We’ve spent time in developing Faith. And the important thing for us was that she was human, that she was more real.
We really wanted to get away from the typical portrayal of women in games, that they’re all just kind of tits and ass in a steel bikini. We wanted her to look athletic and fit and strong [enough] that she could do the things that she’s doing.
We wanted her to be attractive, but we didn’t want her to be a supermodel. We wanted her to be approachable and far more real. It was just kind of depressing that someone thinks it would be better if Faith was a 12-year-old with a boob job. That was kind of what that image looked to me.”
It seems he thinks gamers, Asian or otherwise, should accept his “real” ugly character and like it. Possibly, he should have considered looking at what passes for beauty in the East Asian markets prior to actually designing his orientalist vision of what a gritty Asian women should look like, but never mind.
Interestingly, 2channers actually reworked her back in September, and you can see something of their chaotically evolving efforts below:

Hyakko Game Rips Off Anime
Nondescript anime Hyakko has experienced a modicum of success, which means the inevitable knock off PS2 adventure game is due.
But this time, it is no ordinary knock off, for it seems their laziness in developing the game has reached unprecedented heights, even for typically wretched anime adventure games – as the above shots indicate, they have actually filched scenes from the anime rather than go to the trouble of reenvisaging them in CG.
The game is due out in February, so it seems unlikely these are mere conceptual shots. But as the good source comments, it is equally hard to believe these are shots from an actual game.

“Miscarry!” – Fujoshi Vow Revenge over Seiyuu’s New Wife
Obsessive fujoshi fans of male seiyuu 宮野 真守 / Mamoru Miyano (25), noted for his performances in Death Note and Gundam 00, are seething with rage at the news that he has had the temerity to marry his girlfriend after conceiving a child with her.
“Miscarry, you succubus!”, “I’ll hate his girl for the rest of my life!”, “Hurry up and pop out that kid and then divorce, damn you!” – the vituperative excess of female 2channers knows no bounds.
This otaku circus was prompted by Miyano’s public announcement of his marriage to his pre-impregnated wife; naturally we do not hear the details, but it seems he felt obliged to marry her after she became pregnant, or else decided to for some other reason.
But more interesting than the details of some seiyuu’s personal life are the responses of his legion of adoring female otaku fans:
“I feel like I’ve been betrayed by Mamo… How many times has he used me. Give me my money back, damn it!”
“I’ve had it. I’m off to protest at his agency.”
“Miscarry and lose your job! You’ll regret this! I’m really furious about this…”
“Please tell me it’s a lie. God, please tell me. I’ll do anything, anything at all, if you tell me it’s not true!”
“Ahhhhhhhhh…”
“This is the worst. I believed in him. When you’re betrayed like this, you rarely start to hate, right? Ahh, I want to die…”
“He’s got guts coming out with an announcement like this. By doing so his fans are going to be riled, and it could affect his work. So it’s pretty cool of him to do it.”
“What a shock, he’s not a virgin.”
“With this incident, the antis and the true believers are going to be separated.”
“I wish he’d have shared some of that semen out with me…”
Of course, there are a few messages of congratulations mixed in amongst the seething bile.
It is said hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but it seems this pales in comparison to the wrath of otaku of either gender… You will of course recall the recent fracas over the fact that Kannagi’s Nagi-sama had a previous relationship possibly including sex, and the excessive response that engendered.
This incident should remind you that obsession easily transcends gender boundaries; doubtless we would see an equal or greater outpouring of vitriol were bikini superstar Aya Hirano ever to tie the knot?

Shotacon Teacher Busted for Buying Schoolboy
A teacher, as well as a shop manager, have been arrested for paying a 14-year-old schoolboy for sex.
The elementary school teacher (39) apparently met the second year middle schooler at least twice in the past year in, in April and August, paying him ¥11,000 and ¥21,000 respectively, and naturally they conducted their transaction at a love hotel with the expected consequences.
The teacher seems to have met the boy through a homosexual keitai dating site, where he arranged their dalliances. However, the boy’s parents seem to have got wind of his little enterprise, and approached police.
Police subsequently arrested the teacher on child prostitution charges.
The teacher denies the charges, and the education board refuses to comment, citing a lack of details.
This is not all they boy was up to, however. Another man, the manager of a cleaning shop (54), has been arrested on child prostitution and welfare violation charges, for cavorting with the same boy…

This teacher is shaping up to be principal material, though it has to be said it once again looks like a case where the juvenile party knew exactly what they were doing.
Might not charging some of these junior prostitutes remove the incentive they have to actively solicit clients, which currently they seem to go about with impunity?

Street Fighter IV uses Actual Loli for Sakura Role
Street Fighter IV’s token loli schoolgirl marketing aid, Sakura Kazugano, has received a 3D cosplay incarnation (as opposed to the usual polygonal one) for use in marketing materials, and it is none other than actual loli talent 高田光莉 / Hikari Takada, but 12 years of age.
The resemblance and cosplay are good, and Hikari herself is certainly sure to appeal to fans, lolicon or no:

Nagi-sama Santa
Somehow, this isn’t very Shinto, but I think few fans are likely to complain about this charming Santa Nagi-sama.
Minimal oppai, prominent waki, and not forgetting the thighs, this is a most accomplished depiction indeed… Presumably we will see some official art covering the same subject at some point too.

The Lips of Nagi-sama – Kannagi Quality Analysis
Just as we saw them investigate in impressive detail the question of Nagi-sama pantsu, now Kannagi obsessed 2channers have provided conclusive evidence of which broadcast version of Nagi-sama’s lips is the smoothest, the most alluring, and of course possessed of superior resolution and colour balance.
In fact, though their maniacal choice of still is rather interesting, to say the least, the analysis here is actually very informative. From Left to right we have stations TVS (digital upscale), MX (digital upscale) and BS-J (satellite HD broadcasts, but lagged).
BS-J is not only by far the best looking of the stations, it is also better than the DVDs, only likely to be surpassed by a Blu-ray release.
Thus it is clear: fans of Nagi-sama’s delicious lips, or her luscious thighs, had better start following the BS-J broadcast. There is only one slight problem…
Now we just need to see what 2ch makes of the BS-J version of Nagi-sama’s pantsu…
